Prevent Alzheimers

I think we'd all like to prevent Alzheimers and here are some of the more effective ways I've found (along with supporting research) to hamper the development of this disease.

At this point, there is no Alzheimer's cure but there are ways to delay the onset of the problem.    All of these things are easily done and while much of the research is preliminary, none of these preventative measures are beyond your reach.


This is as close to a cure for Alzheimers as we have now - and there's nothing stopping you except yourself.

Fish Oil and the prevention of Alzheimers.  Here's an easy thing to do every day to ward off the onset.

Q10 and Alzheimers.  There are some studies showing supplementary Q10 can delay Alzheimers but there are concerns.

Ginkgo biloba and Alzheimers - results of a brand new study

Marijuana and Alzheimers might have some things in common (and marijuana might be a potent ally in preventing Alzheimer's)

Wine and Alzheimers.  In case you don't like smoking, here's some research pointing out that grapes have a protein inhibiting function.  I need to participate in this research.

Alzheimers and Smoking.  Turns out that second hand smoke isn't good for you here either.

Sleep apnea treatments seemed to improve cognitive functioning in Alzheimer's  patients.

Soybeans and Alzheimers - turns out a 1000 year old recipe might have some preventative powers.
